Alexander Åhnebrink runs his own design practice in Milan, he is also Art Director at Rossia Magazine .

He was born in 1978, and educated in Gothenburg, Sweden. In 1997 he moved to London to gain professional design experience at the Overland Group (1997-1998 full-time/1998-2001 part-time), a brand development company. Working alongside the Creative Director Shubhankar Ray, he helped create a new global brand identity for the CAT (Caterpillar) workwear brand, as well as various graphic design projects (footwear, packaging and comms) for CAT, Paul Smith and Stride footwear brands. In 1998, whilst maintaining a part-time working relationship with Overland, he enrolled on a 1 year foundation course in Graphic Design at the London College of Printing and following this, got a place on the 3 year BA Hons Product Design course at Central Saint Martins college, graduating with honours in 2002.

In 2002 he moved to Milan to work for Claudio Bellini design studio (formerly Atelier Bellini). And in 2004 he was promoted to Senior Designer, collaborating with Mario and Claudio Bellini on projects for international companies such as Steelcase, Vitra, Thonet, Driade, Walter Knoll, JVC, Plank, DeSede, Poltrona Frau, Sunstar, Fiat, Telecom Italia and Tele 2. Since 2005 he was also given the role of Art Director at Claudio Bellini design studio, with responsibility for the company’s visual identity and all aspects of project graphic design. After seven years of working closely with Mario and Claudio Bellini respectively, with numerous pieces produced under his management, he set up his own design studio in 2009. In November 2009 he was elected Art Director at Rossia Magazine, a bilingual Italian/Russian style magazine.
